hell day
2.27.2008 @ 8:18 PM♥
good thing i came back out ALIVE!
imagine this:
I only had three subjects for this day (feb 27) but I had to use my mind multi-taskingly!
First off:
CHEM 17 lec
"may long quiz daw bukas"
Grrr.
Seryoso yan? may reporting pa ako bukas ba. Baka waste of time na naman kung mag-study ako para jan..
Waste of time nga! We all thought that it was a quiz but then Sir said that it was just a practice for problem solving. Plus the topics mentioned to me were not even part of the not-quiz thing.
Kaya naman answeran iyong quiz kahit di ako nagbasa ng readings (char!) I mean..seriously.
Next:
CHEM 17 lab
When everyone was busy doing hands-on experiment for QA 17, I, on the other hand, was busy answering mga QA 16. And when I finally finished my QA 16, so were they finished with their experiment.
Awww. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help.
Promise, sa QA 18, mag-help na ako.
Last:
AH 5 Reporting
Weird.
Si ate gagay. Take ng take ng mga pictures. Bakit??? Documentation?
Anyways, muntik pa talaga kami di maka-report kasi po, nag-rumble ang mga reportings. Another group claimed that they were to report Luna and Hidalgo but after some time of discussing, it came out that they were the ones who were suppose to report on the Domingo artist.
kasi daw..alphabetical order...
Coronado
Crumb
Dinampo
makes sense naman diba?
:D
Then, I spent the rest of my afternoon (2:30 - 4:00) wasting it with RR. He used my laptop to play stupid games (joke lang R..hehe) then kept on speaking via PURE TAGALOG dialect which actually, irritated me so much. After which, I spent my afternoon with Raffy, Issang and Balot then with Ken, RR, Champ and Raffy.
Bonus:
Ngayon daw B-day ng Mom ni RR tas kahapon was the birthday of RR's pamangkin, Jian.
So. Yey!
Belated Happy Birthday to Jian and Happy Birthday to RR's mom!
:D
ciao ciao!:D

confused
2.25.2008 @ 11:22 PM♥
I actually am very confused right now.
I don't know or I should say that I forgot on what topics were we suppose to report on.
First, I thought we had to report on Fernando Amorsolo and Victorio Edades but on the second thought, when I checked my notebook, the reporting on Amorsolo and Edades were not scheduled for one set of reporters. So again, maybe it was about Amorsolo only. So I continued on my research.
So I started. "images.google.com" then on the search box, I typed: Spolarium.
Goodness!
The Spolarium was made by Juan Luna!
And I remembered that my co-reporter (RR) were talking about bringing a life-sized replica of the painting Spolarium at class for our reporting. So maybe, we were suppose to report on Juan Luna after all. Also, along with Juan Luna, we are also to report on Felix Hidalgo!
So, dalawa pala sila? And I have been making studies of Amorsolo and Edades for two days now!
Okay, so am I dying?
I sent RR a message and for goodness sake, I haven't got any reply from him!
So, what am I suppose to do?
The only decision that I had in mind was to print the biographies of Amorsolo, Edades, Luna and Hidalgo so that I could present whatever I need to show RR tomorrow at school. And oh, I have to come to school earlier than 10 so that I'd be able to catch up with RR tomorrow.
Really.
My instincts tell me that we are the 6th reporter and the Spolarium is with our report. So maybe, we are going to report on Luna and Hidalgo after all.
sigh.
I'm really sleepy.

BIOnary Fusion
2.22.2008 @ 6:57 PM♥
February 22, 2008
CSM Rm. 222
Event: BIOnary Fusion and Bio Major Orientation
Hopefully, I was excused from my CHEM17 class under Sir Jong because I had to attend this orientation seminar for me to be able to apply for a major under the course program BS Biology. There are currently two majors listed under the program: Ecology and Cellular Biology (Cell Biology). For a few days/weeks now, I have been puzzled with what major should I be taking when I finally reach my major days and I have affixed in my mind that I'd be taking up Cell Biology.
But this morning, during the orientation, I learned a lot of things about the two majors. I learned both its similarities and differences.
Cellular Biology is more commonly known to be the major where in the student is contained in the lab. But the speaker (sorry, forgot her name) mentioned that:
hindi lang kami sa lab, may mga field trips din kami...
Actually, I wasn't after the field trips that the major could offer but the content. So during the brainwashing event, this is what I've learned about cell biology.
- it's true, that most of the time, students are just confined within the walls of the laboratory
- students do field work: they go out to the field, observe the natural habitat of an organism, bring it to the lab and within the lab, mimic it's natural environment for a better growth quality
- they dig deeper into the cellular level but it barely differs with what the ecology majors are studying
- you'd get to learn on how to use the laboratory apparatus properly
- accdg to pakdat: cell bio majors are SOSYAL and INTELLIGENT..haha:D
On the other side of the story, ecology major also had their own rebuttal:
- field trips galore!
- we value spontaneity: unlike in cell bio, they mimic the organisms natural habitat but as for ecology majors, they always prepare for natural calamities such as rain, therefore, everything they study in the field is the real world
- like cell bio, ecology majors also look into the cellular level
- for cell bio, most of the time, they are confined in the laboratory, but for the eco majors, THE WORLD IS THEIR LABORATORY
Now, do you understand me?
I am now in the middle of a dilemma on what major to choose. I like the outdoors but I like the laboratory as well. I want spontaneity but I want improving quality as well.
Hay ewan.
I really can't decide right now.
The last thing I've thought was really stupid.
I told myself that I would want to have Ma'am Novero to be my adviser because she specializes in tissue culture but I want to study Microbes as well where in supervised my Ma'am Vernaiz. But, upon looking at the application form, I saw that you could have two advisers therefore I could choose both Ma'am Novero and Ma'am Vernaiz. But unlogically combining the two topics, I come up with one statement that could be the topic of my thesis:
CULTURING THE MICROBES
And then, I think again. Who would want to culture microbes anyway?

back to life
6:09 PM♥
Hi!
It's me.
Posting stuff..again.
This time, I'll try to make it more intimate but not in detail about my life.
Officially, this blog (twinklecloud) is for public viewing and anyone can view it so it's fine with me if you want to view my blog and share it to others as long as you'll leave a message in my tag board before leaving.
Okay?
Well, as of today, this blog is still under construction and I'm hoping that as soon as possible, I'd be posting stuff about my whereabouts. Also, some of my blogs from multiply would be cross-posted here.
I hope you'd have fun reading my blog and if you would be able to read anything a little too personal, I would really appreciate it if we just keep it among ourselves.
Thank you and have a nice day!:D
